The quotable Krishnamurti.J. Krishnamurti - 2011 - Wheaton, Ill.: Quest Books/Theosophical Pub. House. Edited by Robert Epstein.
Truth is a pathless land; you cannot approach it by any religion. . . . My only concern is to set men absolutely free. So said Jiddu Krishnamurti, one of the most influential spiritual leaders of the twentieth century. Born in India in 1905, as a teenager he was groomed by Theosophists C. W. Leadbeater and Annie Besant to become the next World Teacher. Yet later he broke from his mentors, refusing to play the messiah. For decades he traveled (...)

  7. Interoperability of disparate engineering domain ontologies using Basic Formal Ontology.Thomas J. Hagedorn, Barry Smith, Sundar Krishnamurty & Ian R. Grosse - 2019 - Journal of Engineering Design 31.
As engineering applications require management of ever larger volumes of data, ontologies offer the potential to capture, manage, and augment data with the capability for automated reasoning and semantic querying. Unfortunately, considerable barriers hinder wider deployment of ontologies in engineering. Key among these is lack of a shared top-level ontology to unify and organise disparate aspects of the field and coordinate co-development of orthogonal ontologies. As a result, many engineering ontologies are limited to their scope, and functionally difficult to extend (...)

The Limits of Thought: Discussions Between J. Krishnamurti and David Bohm.David Bohm & J. Krishnamurti - 1999 - New York: Routledge. Edited by David Bohm.
The Limits of Thought is a series of penetrating dialogues between the great spiritual leader, J. Krishnamurti and the renowned physicist, David Bohm. The starting point of their engaging exchange is the question: If truth is something different than reality, then what place has action in daily life in relation to truth and reality? We see Bohm and Krishnamurti explore the nature of consciousness and the condition of humanity. These enlightening dialogues address issues of truth, desire awareness, tradition, (...)

  10. An empirical investigation of the relationship between change in corporate social performance and financial performance: A stakeholder theory perspective. [REVIEW]Bernadette M. Ruf, Krishnamurty Muralidhar, Robert M. Brown, Jay J. Janney & Karen Paul - 2001 - Journal of Business Ethics 32 (2):143 - 156.
Stakeholder theory provides a framework for investigating the relationship between corporate social performance (CSP) and corporate financial performance. This relationship is investigated by examining how change in CSP is related to change in financial accounting measures. The findings provide some support for a tenet in stakeholder theory which asserts that the dominant stakeholder group, shareholders, financially benefit when management meets the demands of multiple stakeholders. Specifically, change in CSP was positively associated with growth in sales for the current and subsequent (...)

Inward revolution: bringing about radical change in the world.J. Krishnamurti - 2006 - Boston, Mass.: Shambhala Publications. Edited by Ray McCoy.
    J. Krishnamurti was one of the most influential and widely known spiritual teachers of the twentieth century. Here, he inquires with the reader into how remembering and dwelling on past events, both pleasurable and painful, give us a false sense of continuity, causing us to suffer. His instruction is to be attentive and clear in our perceptions and to meet the challenges of life directly in each new moment.

On living and dying.J. Krishnamurti - 2005 - Sandpoint, ID: Morning Light Press.
On Living and Dying reveals that the fear of death is not rooted in physical pain or in leaving loved ones, but in the fear that some essential part of what we are will not continue. Krishnamurti explains that to comprehend death, which is so inseparably joined with life, we must come to it with a fresh understanding, free of learned attitude and preconceptions. On Living and Dying is a thematic selection from the seminars over Krishnamurti’s entire lifetime, (...)

The starting point of their engaging exchange is the question, "Has humanity taken a wrong turn, which has brought about endless division, conflict, and destruction?" Bohm and Krishnamurti explore the nature of humanity and a person's relationship to society, and provide new insights (...)

A careful and intense look at the writings of J. Krishnamurti results in the understanding of the important differences there are between conscious awareness and awareness which is not consciousness, perception with a perceiver and perceiverless perception, abstract truth and living truth, and most importantly between a partially functioning and a totally functioning, that is, a truly silent, meditative mind.

    J. Krishnamurti: educator for peace.Meenakshi Thapan - 2022 - New York, NY: Routledge.
Teacher, thinker, writer, and speaker, J. Krishnamurti (1985-1986) was an Indian educationist, spiritual leader, and a key figure in world philosophy. He raised significant questions about the state of the world, about our tendency to remain passive, conditioned and in a state of overwhelming confusion about how we relate to the world. Through talks and writings spread over many decades and geographical locations, he articulated an unconditioned, reflective approach which emphasized self-inquiry. This volume provides an understanding of Krishnamurti's (...)

In this age of “free-sex”, gurus, Hare-Krishna chanters and transcendental meditation teachers J. Кrisimamurti stands almost alone as a non-guru of outstanding grandeur. His lecture tours in major centers of the world remind one of the historical Buddha who reversed the Upanishadic tradition of teaching in a forest hermitage to a select few by travelling on foot from village to village in North-Eastern India to carry his message of love, compassion and understanding to the masses regardless of caste, color or (...)

From Kabir to Krishnamurti is a far cry. For, they are separated one from the other by over five centuries. But quantitative measurement of this distance has a qualitative aspect which cannot be measured in any time-scale. Two great seers lived in two completely different worlds-with no comparison between the two. And yet they expressed their thoughts and experience not only in a similar language but almost in identical terms. In these two streams of thought represented by Kabir and (...)

    J. Krishnamurti, whose life and teachings spanned the greater part of the 20th Century, is regarded by many as one who has had the most profound impact on human consciousness in modern times. He talked of the things that concern all of us in our everyday life: the problems of living in modern society, the individual’s search for security, and the need for human beings to free themselves from their inner burdens of violence, fear and sorrow.
