    Die Gegenwartsgesellschaft bewertet die Infragestellung des inhaltlichen Gehaltes von Glaubensüberzeugungen als Tugend. Auch innerhalb der Theologie gewinnt der Zweifel zunehmend an Relevanz, wird aber überwiegend immer noch als Gefährdung des Glaubens wahrgenommen. Deshalb unterzieht die Autorin den Akt des Zweifelns einer philosophischtheologischen Analyse. In Auseinandersetzung mit entsprechenden Positionen - z. B. Augustinus, Thomas von Aquin, Hegel oder Kierkegaard - geht sie dem vermeintlichen Widerspruch zwischen Glauben und Zweifeln auf den Grund und zeigt die theologische Legitimität iterativen Zweifelns auf.

    Beta‐oxidation of fatty acids and detoxification of reactive oxygen species are generally accepted as being fundamental functions of peroxisomes. Additionally, these pathways might have been the driving force favoring the selection of this compartment during eukaryotic evolution. Here we performed phylogenetic analyses of enzymes involved in beta‐oxidation of fatty acids in Bacteria, Eukaryota, and Archaea.
