Reviews
Most of the entries for most journals will be for reviews. Do you want to sort these with everything else?
  • Most books will have several reviews, which may look funny, especially when mixed with non-reviews.
  • Books will be generally broader than articles and may strain the fine categories.
  • When a review focuses on a narrower topic than the whole book, presumably it should still be categorized by the topic of the whole book, or reviews of the same book will be scattered from one another.
  • More generally, you might want to take steps to make sure that reviews of a single book end up at the same place.

Reviews
At the moment we're not including all that many reviews (except in a few cases such as NDPR), although we may do so eventually.  Yes, it's reasonable to expect that books will often fall under more general categories than papers, and it makes sense to put reviews in the same category as the corresponding book.  Perhaps once we get books in the system and we also have reviews, we can look into eventually having some mechanism for linking them so they are automatically categorized together (among other benefits).
