En marge de cette recherche, on voit apparaître, en filigrane, les différents moments de la construction d’un véritable transcendantalisme éthique, que Lévinas construit avec Kant contre Kant. By picking out systematically the explicit references to Kant (of which there are many) in the works of Levinas, as well as references to and usages of notions, which for two centuries have been associated with Kant, and only with Kant, we obtain a picture of Levinas' Kant. Research of this kind is interesting especially, as it enables us to see in what way, by which of the aspects of his thought, Kant stimulates Levinas' thought, and thereby makes it possible for us to discover the function attributed by Levinas to Kant in his philosophical development. As a side-effect of this research we see the concealed appearance of the different moments in the construction of a real ethical transcendentalism, which Levinas constructs with Kant against Kant.
