2 I am coming to think that specific comment on details of Plautine metric is only valuable at an early stage where well-defined critical or textual points depend upon metrical considerations, and doubt the value of isolated observations on metrical anomalies. Post-graduate requirements are, of course, another matter.

3 This mistake might, I suspect, have been avoided had the editors used Lodge's Lexicon Plautinum and not relied on Lederer's Index, which covers this play only.
