- Title
TRAIT ATTRIBUTIONS WITHIN THE MORALITY DOMAIN.
- Authors
Hackett, Holly R.; Trafimow, David
- Abstract
Based on general attribution principles, much research has focused on the processes involved in making morally relevant trait attributions. For example, it has long been thought that the process by which people make trait attributions is different in the moral domain than in other domains. However, more recent research demonstrates that the story is much more complex than that; there exist multiple attribution processes even in the moral domain. The present chapter reviews both the relevant empirical findings and theoretical developments that have contributed to our present understanding.
