The paper is an attempt to reinterpret and assess heidegger's claims about being-in-the-world in the light of contemporary discussions in the philosophy of (cognitive) psychology. the concept of intentionality plays a prominent role in the plausibly interpretation. we claim that heidegger's notion of being-in-the-world is most plausibly understood in terms of the intentionalist tradition.
