Abstract
The subjects were given a single presentation of lists containing A-B, A-D pairs, following which pair recognition tests were administered. Four successive lists were given each subject. For one group, the response words were the same across the four lists, for the other group, they were different. No retroactive inhibition Was found in recognition, and the amount of proactive inhibition measured was very small in amount. These results confirm those reported by Bower and Bostrom (1968).
