During his stay at Nottingham he gave a number of lectures on the topic of Capitalism and Christianity, and the week concluded with a 1-day conference on Connolly's work hosted by the Centre for the study of Social and Global Justice (CSSGJ), and funded by the CSSGJ, the School of Politics and International Relations, and the British Journal of Politics and International Relations (BJPIR). Commissioned papers were presented at the conference by David Howarth, Gulshan Khan, Saul Newman, David Owen, James Williams, and Mark Wenman.
