My work focusses upon Normative and Applied Ethics. On the Normative side, I'm interested in the stuff that isn't Kantian or Utilitarian. So I draw from virtue theory (Slote and Murdoch), American pragmatism (Taylor and Cavell) and from Wittgensteinian ethics (Diamond and Gaita). On the Applied side, my interests focus upon animals and environmental issues. My next book, a short volume on Love, will be released in the autumn, as part of Acumen's Art of Living series.
