Abstract

The article is a detailed analysis of a fragment of the Phaedrus, where Plato presents his understanding of ideas, their object, their mode of existence, and their cognition . The author attempts to read the fragment in a way that is faithful to the text itself. Her goal is not to confront it with a series of interpretations, and she makes limited use of other dialogues.
