Abstract

La Philosophie d'un anti-philosophe examines the attitude of poet and critic Paul Valery (1871-1945) to philosophy and its practitioners. In spite of Valery's explicit rejection of conventional philosophy, Professor Bouveresse shows that he was indeed prepared to admit to a personal philosophy which can be located in his works.
