Abstract

My main goals in this paper are, first, to explain Goodman's irrealist pluralism and, second, to show the jamesian sources of some of its most important theses. I shall focus on the conception of knowledge developed by Goodman and James. I shall argue that it is possible to combine irrealism and humanist pragmatism in one single broader philosophical perspective
