Abstract
/// In his political treatises, Kant proposes a principle of orientation for the political life: the constitution of a cosmopolitan society that brings to completion the process of republicanization of the states, avoids war and allows the growth of the human potentialities. In order to achieve these goals Kant considers two ways: the Society of Nations and the Universal Republic. The present article explores the possibilities inherent to the one and to the other, and aims at showing how the kantian philosophy is indeed a philosophy of peace, and this both in the noologic sense as well as in a political perspective, shows the virtualities of each one of the proposed ways, and also demonstrates in what measure it would be necessary today to reconstruct Kant's political philosophy in order to bring forward the construction of the International Order and of the World Peace.
