| Abstract | The article describes an attempt to provide support for decision making in the area of Rational User of Energy and Renewable Energies, based on the application of a simulation model Invert, developed within the ALTENER Programme. Examples are presented of the results of simulations estimating the efficiency of selected RES & RUE promotion schemes with respect to the main barriers hampering the development of biomass use for energy purposes in Poland.
