Heidegger on Truth and Logos
| Abstract | This paper is part of a larger project whose overall aim is to consider the relationship between being, on one hand, and logos and language on the other. For this project, it is indispensible to consider Heidegger‟s investigation into the question of being (both the question of the “meaning of being” in Being and Time and, later, what he will call the “grounding question,” the question of the historical “truth of Being” in his work after 1933). However, at the same time, we can hardly afford to ignore the definitive experience of the analytic tradition in the twentieth century, which, as I have argued elsewhere, can be understood as amounting to a philosophically transformative experience of logos | |||||||||
