Glossaries of Philosophical Terms

Abstract

This collection of glossaries is intended to assist two groups of people: 1) speakers of German or Modern Greek who need to read and translate works of philosophy written in English or to write philosophical works in English, and 2) speakers of English who need to read and translate works of philosophy written in German or Modern Greek or to write philosophical works in those languages. It gives standard and otherwise acceptable translations of over 2000 philosophical terms, but does not explain their meanings. The current glossaries are presented in two separate pairs of pdf files, one for translating from English into the other language and one for translating from the other language into English.
