The first section establishes the distinctiveness of site ontologies over both individualist ontologies and previous societist ones. The third section defends a particular site ontology, one that depicts the social as a mesh of human practices and material arrangements. The article concludes by outlining what is involved in giving site-ontological analyses of social things.
