Adventures of immanence revisited
Inquiry 35 (1):69 – 80 (1992)
| Abstract | After commending Yovel for his revisionist account of the history of modem philosophy, I comment on the way in which it indirectly illuminates what sets the existentialist movement apart. I then question Yovel's interpretations of Hegel, Marx, and Nietzsche on a number of points where he seems to me to misrepresent, exaggerate, or underappreciate them quite uncharacteristically. I conclude by suggesting that the way in which he has chosen to tell the story he tells may have had something to do with it | |||||||||
