Kings and Prisoners (And Aces)
PSA: Proceedings of the Biennial Meeting of the Philosophy of Science Association 1992:203 - 216 (1992)
| Abstract | What we make of information we come to have should take into account that we have come to have it, and how we think we have come to have it. I relate this homily to several puzzles. One has to do with three cards one of which is a king, and another with three prisoners one of whom will be released. Then I take up the question, What is it that makes that homily remarkable for these cases, and makes them puzzles? An appendix takes up second-ace problems. | |||||||||
