The unethical recruitment of oocyte donors, for example, reported by Aaron Levine in “Self-Regulation, Compensation, and the Ethical Recruitment of Oocyte Donors” (Mar–Apr 2010) threatens medical professionalism, societal trust in medicine, and possibly the health of young women.
