Hans C. Ohanian (1977). Cosmological Changes in Atomic and Nuclear Constants. Foundations of Physics 7 (5-6):391-404.
We use geochronological and cosmological data to obtain upper limits on the rates of change of the following “constants”: proton mass, neutron mass, fine structure constant, weak interaction constant, strong interaction constant, and “range” of nuclear forces. If the rates of change of all these constants are correlated, then the available data permit changes much in excess of the limits that have been obtained by Dyson and others from the assumption that only one or two constants change. As an application (...)

    N. D. Mermin has proposed an “elaboration” of Einstein's 1905 derivation that supposedly fixes the flaws that I identified in this derivation. By specific examples taken from Einstein's own later work, I show that Mermin's elaboration is fraught with misconceptions.

Chronology of Einstein's mistakes -- I will resign the game -- A lovely time in Berne -- And yet it moves -- If I have seen farther -- A storm broke loose in my mind -- Motions of inanimate, small, suspended bodies -- What is the light quantum? -- The argument is jolly and beguiling -- Suddenly I had an idea -- The theory is of incomparable beauty -- The world is a madhouse -- Does God play dice? -- The (...)
