Edgar de Bruyne publie ses Études d'esthétique médiévale en 1946, un ouvrage d'une grande dimension qui a dmandé baucoup d'effort, tenant compte avec les autres publication qu'il avait publié dans les années avant la guerre. L'article présent situe de Bruyne dans la philosophie louvaniste et les néo-scolastiques. L'auteur constate que de Bruyne, thomiste qu'il était lui-même, a liberé l'idée esthétique médiévale de l'idée esthétique thomiste. Plus tard il écrivit sur l'esthétique dans la pensée grecque et romaine jusqu'à l'humanisme. AInsi il (...) démontrait qu'il n'y avait pas de système ethétique thomiste en soi, mais que ces idées faisaient partie d'une plus large idée d'esthétique, dans laquelle l'intuition intellectuelle joue un rôle important. The article is devoted to the identification of the genesis, typology and characterization of the philosophical concept of chaos, discreteness, paradoxicity and rhizomorphism of being and their reflection in philosophy and postmodern fiction based on the works of J.L. Borges and U. Eco is about libraries embodied by foreign authors as rhizomorphic paradoxical labyrinths. The concept of rhizome is considered in the context of temporal chaos. In accordance with the basic principles of historical science, the issues of rhizomorphism of the (...) labyrinth library in the context of time are revealed. The research methodology includes general scientific and special comparative methods. The comparative historical and descriptive approaches of the above sources are used. Examples of works by J.L. Borges and U. Eco in the concept of their description of the library as a rhizomorphic paradoxical labyrinth. The relevance of the article lies in the appeal to the analysis of the image of the library as a concept that initially symbolizes the storage of books, knowledge, embodying stability, logical orderliness, consistency. In the culture and art of postmodernism, this symbolism has been radically transformed, which is convincingly proved by the analysis of texts by J.L. Borges and U. Eco. (shrink)

The paper outlines the explicatory frame of Eco's understanding of the multiplicity of signs. Its starting point is the conception of truth as a multi-essence. The signs, however, do not have their origin in simple construction of the social world: it must be decoded by menas of multilayer signs, referring not only to themselves, but also to their connection with other signs. It is the principle of structurated combination, i e. the method of combinating anlaogies across the filed of interaction, (...) which makes the reading of sings as mlutiple essences possible. Other possible layeres of interpretation are then discovered by other uses of combinations provided by the multiplicity of the sign. This regime of recombinating layeres and contextual fields enables Eco to make interpretatory shifts due to which the truth can be seen as one version of the "floating" of the sign in the interactive field of essences. The "semiotic threshold" is U. Eco's metaphor of the borderline between the world of semiosis and the nonsemiotic world and hence also between semiotics and its neighboring disciplines. The paper examines Eco's threshold in comparison to the views of semiosis and semiotics of C. S. Peirce. While Eco follows the structuralist tradition, postulating the conventionality of signs as the main criterion of semiosis, Peirce has a much broader concept of semiosis, which is not restricted to phenomena of culture but includes (...) many processes in nature. Whereas Eco arrives at the conclusion that biological processes, such as the ones within the immune system, cannot be included in the program of semiotic research, Peirce's broader defmition of semiosis has meanwhile become thefoundation of semiotic studies in biology and medicine and hence in biosemiotics and medical semiotics. The development of the conception of U. Eco’s literary art is considered on examples of ‘Notes in the margins of the novel ’The Name of the Rose‘’, ‘The Role of the Reader‘, ‘From Internet to Gutenberg‘, and ‘Confessions of a young novelist‘. In the article, the non-classical character of literary creativity and theory of Eco is discussed that is realized through the transformation of some ideas and conclusions of semiotics, structuralism, post-structuralism, and postmodernism. In ‘Confessions‘ Eco talks about the relationship (...) between himself as an author, his creations as texts, and the audience as readers. He distinguishes two types of readers: Empirical reader and Model reader. The article indicates the basic components of Eco’s literary theory of Interpretation. Eco considers that author will be interpreted not according to his intentions, but according to a complex strategy of interactions and intertextual meanings, based on fictional realms of novels. The article pays attention to Eco’s way from writing on non-fiction to fiction and otherwise, by exploring the boundary between fiction and nonfiction. However, in the practice Eco constitutes the relationship between fictional and nonfictional parts of literary art. As a result, Eco creates a kind of hypertext - the network of ideas, meanings, senses, codes, signs, interpretations, and so on. All of this gives the opportunity to make up the conclusion that Eco created the modern type of model writer - ‘Umberto Eco - M-author‘ that helps to appear the new kind of reader, the ‘Model reader‘. This study assessed whether and how government–business partnerships offer a unique platform that targets profound environmental impacts via the promotion of radical eco-innovation. It applied transactional cost and complementary logics to explain the rationale of GBP formation for radical eco-innovation, and further assessed the operation of GBPs from governance, learning, and rulemaking aspects. This study applied propensity score matching technique to empirically test these theoretical associations using 225 observations representing 166 U.S. firms’ participation in 192 environmental alliances between 1985 and (...) 2013. The study results confirmed GBPs’ role in channeling public and private efforts in pursuing transformative environmental change via the adoption of radical eco-innovation goals. Results highlight four critical elements of GBP operation—effective governance, exploration learning, cognitive learning, and rulemaking—that enable participants to embrace these radical environmental solutions. Nastojanje da se dokuci ono sto je vazno o coveku uopste, kroz razmatranje prividno lokalnih tema, ideal je kojem je prema samorazumevanju neprekidno tezio srpski filozof, eticar i drustveni teoreticar, dr Svetozar Stojanovic. Ideje koje je izneo u decenijama svoga stvaralastva izrazavale su jedno vreme sada sve vise iza nas. Uprkos tome, njegove ideje su ostale jedan moguci kljuc za razumevanje nase sadasnjosti. Sta vise, njihovo ponovno otkrivanje ima potencijal da pokrene na dalekosezno razmisljanje o principima preobrazaja identiteta, kako drustvenog (...) i politickog, tako i individualnog i opsteljudskog. La intención de nuestro trabajo ha sido la de exponer la anticipación pragmática que realizara U. Eco en "Obra abierta", ya en 1962, insustituible para una hermenéutica de la obra de arte, que pone especial atención en la instancia del usuario, imaginando un lector modelo ejerciendo actos de libertad consciente para una obra que se presenta como abierta, a veces en movimiento, e invariablemente como metáfora epistemológica de nuestro tiempo.Hemos presentado algunos aportes que sobre el contexto han realizado lingüistas, aportes (...) que pueden trasladarse satisfactoriamente al campo de la estética, como adecuado límite a una multiplicidad infinita de sentido de la obra de arte, para servirle de gran utilidad, a pesar de que ciertas teorías ya clásicas de la Estética puedan haber pensado, en su momento, lo contrario.Finalmente, buscando algo diferente, con relación a los efectos de las obras de arte en sus gozadores, provocados intencionalmente por sus autores, hemos insertado ejemplos de experiencias propias y disímiles entre las mismas, como nos sucedió con J. This study explores an important yet understudied relationship between CEO narcissism and green innovation, both separately and when moderated by CEO demographic traits (international experience and age). We analyzed a sample of 206 U.S.-listed firms on the S&P 500 over a 10-year period. Our initial findings indicate a negative association between CEO narcissism and green innovation. However, further analysis reveals that this relationship is influenced by two CEO demographic traits. Specifically, CEOs' international experience and age mitigate the initially negative link (...) between CEO narcissism and green innovation. These results align with insights from the upper echelon theory, shedding light on the dark side of narcissism. The implications of our findings extend to firms' team management, directors, policy-makers, and regulators. (shrink)
