The impact of teacher discipline on student outcomes is a critical area in educational research. However, limited studies have explored how specific discipline styles affect students' problem-solving abilities, particularly in Grade Six classrooms. This study investigates the relationship between classroom discipline styles of Grade Six teachers and students' problem-solving skills in schools within District III and IV of Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental Philippines. Using a descriptive-correlational design, the study involved 34 Grade Six teachers and 170 students selected through purposive and (...) quota sampling methods, respectively. Teachers' discipline styles were assessed using a standardized questionnaire while students' problem-solving skills were evaluated using a 50-item test comprising logical thinking and abstract reasoning sections sourced from online resources. Statistical analyses included mean calculations for identifying predominant discipline styles among teachers, revealing that Autocratic or Authoritarian styles (M = 3.63) were most frequently employed. Significant correlations (p < 0.05) were found between the Democratic Discipline style (M = 3.29) and students' problem-solving skills, suggesting that participatory classroom practices enhance student outcomes in this regard. Recommendations include promoting participatory learning environments to strengthen problem-solving skills, providing professional development for teachers in democratic classroom management, and integrating technology for collaborative learning experiences. Exploring the profound emotional dimensions within the world of sex work, this phenomenological study delves into the intricate experiences of shame and regrets among mama- sans operating in the vibrant yet complex setting of "Walking Street" in Angeles City, Pampanga. The research design is grounded in a desire to gain deeper insights into the complex emotions surrounding this group's involvement in the sex trade industry. Through a purposive sampling technique, individuals whose ages range from thirty (30) to sixty (60) years (...) old, actively engaged as procurers will be recruited for face-to-face interviews. These interviews will explore into their personal narratives and experiences, aiming to understand how shame and regrets manifest within their daily lives. The interpretive phenomenological approach offers a valuable framework for capturing nuanced aspects of subjective experiences by emphasizing participants' lived realities. By adopting this approach, researchers seek a comprehensive understanding of the emotional landscape that shapes procurers' perceptions, motivations, coping mechanisms, and potential avenues for intervention or support. Data analysis will involve thematic analysis techniques that allow for identification and interpretation of recurring patterns within participants' accounts. This process will help uncover key themes related to shame and regrets while recognizing individual variation amongst procurers. Findings from this study are expected to contribute significantly to existing literature on shame theory as well as broader discussions surrounding sex workrelated research. It is hoped that these findings may inform policies aimed at addressing the emotional well-being of individuals involved in similar contexts while offering insights into potential interventions targeting shame reduction strategies or support services tailored explicitly for this population. Chronic diseases like diabetes and hypertension are significant public health challenges globally, especially in resource-limited rural settings like Barangay Damilag. An increasing incidence of these conditions with limited accessibility to healthcare necessitates effective self-management to improve their outcomes. This study aims to determine the correlation between health literacy, social support, psychological factors, and self-management among chronic disease patients. The study employed descriptive correlational and causal research design, and data were collected from 256 samples using a survey questionnaire. Findings revealed that (...) health literacy (M = 3.55, SD = 0.72) - knowledge of disease (M = 3.60, SD = 0.82, r = 0.218, p = .001) , medication management skills (M = 4.07, SD = 0.553, r = 0.038, p = .550) , and access to health information (M = 2.97, SD = 0.788, r = 0.123, p = .05) -- significantly predicts self-management by enabling informed decision-making and improved treatment adherence. Social support (M = 3.37, SD = 0.853) , such as family (M = 4.04, SD = 0.824, r = 0.627, p = .000), and peers (M = 2.51, SD = 0.895, r = 0.006, p = .929), showed moderate barriers to self-care and improved emotional resilience. Psychological determinants (M = 3.50, SD = 0.858) - self-efficacy (M = 3.61, SD = 0.839, r = 0.714, p = .000), and motivation (M = 3.91, SD = 0.957, r = 0.451, p = .001) - emerged as the strongest predictors of self-management. Through regression and structural equation modeling analyses, the researcher identified causal pathways and the combined impact of these factors on self-management. The study contributes insight for healthcare practitioners, policymakers, and community organizations by highlighting the need for holistic interventions.
