  • Rousseau and modern citizenship education. Political and educational concepts seen from Latin America.Hugo Rangel Torrijo - 2015 - Ixtli 2 (3):185-206.
    This article shows that Rousseau political philosophy is inseparable from his social and educational ideas. I evince the relevance of freedom and equality both for the pedagogic sphere than for democracy. Rousseau defended social equality and the rule of law, which are essential dimensions of democratic societies. I argue that he is a pioneer of the notions of early childhood education.
