The work has two parts. The first part is about Peirce and his ideas about the continuum. There are considered the connection of his theory of continuity with his loic and his philosophy. In the second part Peirce's ideas are compared with models of todays logic and mathematics. There is considerd constructive mathematics, the logic of perception from Bell, Blau's Logic of reflection and a model of Myrvold. Then there is developed a new model.

When developing the so-called Salzburg Approach to Information and Communication Technologies and Society in the years 2004 to 2010, the sociology of technology the then working group of mine at the University of Salzburg used was based upon a combination of critical thinking and systems thinking – of Critical Theory and Systems Theory. Criticism and systemism both include what I’m used to calling the Logic of the Third. The Logic of the Third is the foundation of a critical social systems (...) theory. (shrink)
