Zusammenfassung
Wo immer und zu welchem Zweck auch immer Tiere in Menschenhand gehalten werden, stellt sich auch die Frage nach der moralischen Erlaubtheit der Tötung von Tieren durch den Menschen. Die Gründe, aus denen Tiere getötet werden, sind vielfältig. Zu diesen Gründen zählt neben wirtschaftlichen und wissenschaftlichen Gründen auch die Beendigung von Schmerzen oder Leiden von Tieren (Meijboom/Stassen 2006).
