Richard A. Baer, Jr. is Professor in the Department of Natural Resources in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University. He directs the Program in Agricultural and Environmental Ethics and is a member of the Graduate Field of Education. He has published widely in the field of religion and the environment and on the subject of values and education. He taught for 12 years at Earlham College and in the Earlham Graduate School of Religion. He holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University in the History and Philosophy of Religion.
