1 The copyediting is excellent. I spotted only a few, irrelevant, typos (e.g. at p. 40 n. 131 he/Nero has dropped out; at p. 219 Sordi's (1999) title is misspelled). At p. 40 n. 132 ‘the original manuscript of Tacitus’ is a misleading reference. M. surely means the oldest manuscript of Tacitus (or the second Medicean), but ‘original’ will confuse non-specialists.
