Abstract

In the article A Negação Fregena do Número 2 (2008), Greimann argues that the Fregean negation of number 2 in the sixth paragraph of Grundgesetze (1893, 1903) does not involve any absurdity, although, according to him, it is a negation of number 2 as a singular term. My point here is to show that Frege doesn’t necessarily negate the number 2 as a singular term in the sixth paragraph of Grundgesetze (1893, 1903) but is possibly merely exemplifying the negation of the number 2 as a classification of another object in a false sentence.
