Abstract:
This article describes that a Christian view on functional impairment cannot be based on the concept of disability, a dichotomising concept that divide human persons in those who are normal and those who deviate from normalcy. Disability should be understood as one of the ways in which human persons are contingent, and as a part of the created reality of human persons. This articel describes what the consequences of such a view are for human persons' being image of God.
