What follows is the second part of our coverage of the one day workshop on the subject of “left conservatism” held at UC, Santa Cruz in January of this year. Tom Dumm prepared the transcript of the question and answer period from a tape recording. Tom took the liberty of smoothing out “uhs” and “ohs,” as well as the occasional repetitions of phrase, in the interest of keeping the lively conversation readable in print.
