About the author (2010)

Alexander Eliot was Art Editor of Time magazine from 1945 to 1960, when he retired at forty-one to undertake world-wide travels with his family as a free-lance journalist. Among his many other books are 300 Years of American Painting, Proud Youth, Love Play, Earth, Air, Fire & Water Zen Edge, Myths, The Timeless Myths, and The Universal Myths.
