Abstract


Slavoj Žižek’s new book (the title of which plays on the verbal association made possible by the words “panic” and “pandemic”) [...] was written at the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis and quickly rushed into publication in an effort to provide the public with a philosophical engagement with the opportunities and challenges of the novel coronavirus and the social, political, and technological responses that have been marshalled to contend with the panic that has accompanied it.
