Abstract:
After offering a brief overview, this review examiones James' Campbell's treatment of James' defense of religious belief in the context of his will-to-believe doctrine. I raise some questions about the tensions Campbell locates in James' account of religious belief, connecting them to some issues in James' theory of truth.
