¿Cómo se siente ser un ciudadano?

Resumen


Partimos de la idea de que a un modelo de ciudadanía corresponde un ethos que define al ciudadano ideal, y que supone maneras particulares de sentir o emocionar. Examinamos cuatro modelos de ciudadanía: liberal clásico, republicano cívico, demócrata deliberativo y demócrata radical. Proponemos que sus ciudadanos ideales se rigen, respectivamente, por amor a la ley (nomofilia), amor a la comunidad o a la patria (oikofilia), amor a la verdad (epistemofilia) y a la justicia, y amor a sus grupos de pertenencia y al poder (kratofilia). Otras emociones políticas ―como la indignación― y procesos emocionales ―como la empatía― se orientan hacia diferentes objetos y actores de formas distintas según el tipo de amor que las encauza u orienta.
