On the Question of Logical Method in Relation to Edmund Husserl’s Prolegomena to Pure Logic

Abstract

The problem of the method of logic has received a new and thorough treatment in the book by Edmund Husserl mentioned in the title of this paper. To attempt a critical review of it here is all the more appropriate because the problem obviously concerns also the “Criticism of Knowledge” of Kant and his successors. For, the task which Husserl ascribes to ‘pure logic’ is basically the same as that which the Kantians today call “Criticism of Knowledge.”
