page 6 note 1 It is perhaps tempting to insert jj after ⋯ρετῄ with Archer-Hind: ‘and in short true virtue is found only in company with wisdom’: but συλλῄβδην normally indicates summing-up in a single word or phrase, not in a clause.

page 6 note 2 I would retain the κα⋯: I do not see how the two participles could stand together without it.
