- Abstract
The generalized fall in the levels of consumption is one of the most important consequences of the recent economic events and their transcendental repercussions worldwide. At the same time, other of the quasi-global phenomena, the massive consumption of objects, is increasingly characterized by the frugality of such objects of consumption and the need to replace them with others more new; what implies that the consumer cannot rest in his consumer anxieties. From the union of both aspects, economic crisis and postmodern consumption, this paper has the aim to carry out a social analysis of some of the aspects that characterize the Spanish consumption society and their influence on the expenditure distribution nowadays.
