현대인은 각종 질병과 마음의 병으로 힘들어 하고 있다. 이러한 신체적, 정신적 질병의 원인에는 극심한 스트레스와 오염된 환경, 흡연이나 운동 부족 등 잘못된 생활 습관, 패스트푸드 등의 과도 섭취 등 잘못된 식생활 등이 있을 것이다. 현대인은 어떻게 이러한 질병들로부터 해방되어 건강하게 오래 살 수 있을까? 그것은 아마도 정신적인 건강과 육제척인 건강 모두를 되찾아야 가능할 것이다. 이 점에서 본고에서는 동양 의학과 동양 윤리학의 접목을 통해 인간의 정신적, 육체적 건강을 되찾으려는 시도를 하였고, 이는 동양 의료 윤리의 바탕이 되는 내용이 되는 것이다.
이러한 접근의 이론적 배경으로는 의철학 및 인문사회의학적 관점을 다루어, 인문사회과학과 의학과의 연결에서는 육체적인 건강과 인간에 대한 인문사회과학적인 연구를 접목하는 내용을 다루었다. 또한 동양 의학 및 윤리학에서는 자연과 인간은 하나라는 것과, 인간의 마음과 몸은 하나라는 기본 사상이 있다. 이에 근거한 동양 의료 윤리의 기본 원리에는 생명이 끊임없이 낳고 생기는 생명사상과 천인 감응, 자연의 陰陽四時에 따른 生化와 變化 등에 따라 사람이 순응해서 살아야 함을 강조하였다. 이에 근거한 동양 의료 윤리의 구체적 내용에는 修己와 욕심 제거, 감정 조절과 中和, 養生을 통한 形神 調和, 當位의 생활 등이 있다.
I tried to find out Eastern bio ethics based on connection Eastern ethics and Eastern medicine. The ethical living through self-cultivation is in Eastern ethics connected with a healthy life in Eastern medicine. In connection Eastern medical science with eastern ethics, there are two main theoretical backgrounds of Eastern medical ethics. Firstly, the union of Eastern medicine and humanities-social science in the philosophy of medicine. Secondly, the union of Universe and Man, namely, human is micro-Cosmos, and the union of mind and body. By this, there are two kinds of directions in Eastern medical ethics, the one is the principle, the other is contents. In Eastern medical ethics, firstly cosmology is the base of human health. That is the thought of life, and corresponding response of heaven and Man. Human body is small Universe. It is called corresponding response or union between Universe and man. Secondly, when we balance our physical condition to yin-yang of outer world, we can improve our health. In the 『Book of Change』, we can see bio ethics which explains the philosophy of change, and the union of Heaven and Man. In concrete form, thought of life and Heaven-Man sympathy, Harmony of Yin-Yang, birth-change. Secondly, there are four contents. Man need to study self-cultivation and moderating emotion, and methodology of nurturing life, and lifestyle on right position. In concrete contents, self-cultivation based on the same principle medicine and Confucianism, medicine and Daoism. And we need to moderate our motion in order to control our body and mind, and to live healthy life. And we need to practice physical and mental training for the harmony body and spirit. Lastly, we need to have reasonable life style for right position as like food, physical features of a place, medicine, directions.
