From PhilPapers forum Philosophy of Cognitive Science:

I will then, not address you specifically, rather the interdisciplinary audience in this forum if one exists here.  I have found receptivity to my psychological perspective in the communities that exist in other areas of PhilPapers and for some reason the juror here has allowed my posts.  And, after all, this forum is "Philosophy of Cognitive Science" for heaven's sake :-o.  Having attained a PhD and internship from medical caliber programs, I know well that philosophy is integral to all sound psychological science.

I would be interested in your criteria as to how you determine which theories are amenable to your "philosophical" analysis vs. those that are not.  Being a scientist, I look for conceptually clear criteria backing such assertions.  Otherwise, I feel that statements, such as yours above that perhaps cannot be substantiated with any protocol can shut down communication across persectives/disciplines, can thwart our open-mindedness, and thus impede the collaborative enhancement of our good works.

Respectfully,
Maria
