Jelba Brooks - 2025 - Cadernos Do Pet Filosofia 15 (30):184-199.
This paper exposes the intersection between philosophy, art and politics from the prism of María Zambrano's poetic reason, highlighting its relationship with the tragedy of Antigone and in the plastic arts with expressionism. The problem posed by this study is how the philosophical approach, developed by Zambrano in her works Philosophy and Poetry (1939), The Tomb of Antigone (1967) and Nostalgia for the Earth (1933), allows us to understand the political implications in art. This bibliographical analysis focuses on dialogue with (...)

Os Julgamentos de Nuremberg e Eichmann Em Jerusalém.Anna Carolina Santos da Costa - 2025 - Cadernos Do Pet Filosofia 15 (30):57-76.
Hannah Arendt's political philosophy, focused on her works "The Human Condition", "Origins of Totalitarianism" and "Eichmann in Jerusalem", provides a theoretical framework for understanding the shattering and reconstruction of the public sphere in the face of the totalitarian experiences of the 20th century. The aim of this research is to present a legal-philosophical analysis of the trials of the International Military Tribunal in Nuremberg and Adolf Eichmann in Jerusalem, revealing Arendt's perceptions of the public sphere as a space of plurality, (...)

Uma Crítica À Linguagem Hereditária Do Período Colonial No Brasil e a Posssiblidade de Uma Linguagem Alternativa.Igor Carvalho da Silva - 2025 - Cadernos Do Pet Filosofia 15 (30):208-224.
This article examines the implications of traditional philosophical language inherited from Portuguese colonization in Brazil, still prevalent in academia and secondary education. Through a critical reading of Brazil's early colonial history, we analyze the aspects of this perspective shaping philosophical tradition. Friedrich Nietzsche's antidogmatic thought and Martin Heidegger's concept of calculative thinking inform our critique. Inspired by Paulo Freire's "Pedagogy of the Oppressed," our study explores students' everyday language, aiming to develop an alternative philosophical language rooted in social reality.

O Conceito de Prática Em Alasdair Macintyre.Marina Giovanna Aires de Carvalho - 2025 - Cadernos Do Pet Filosofia 15 (30):90-103.
This article explores the concept of "practice" in Alasdair MacIntyre's moral theory, emphasizing its relevance for reconstructing virtue ethics in a contemporary context of moral fragmentation. Through a critical analysis of his work, After Virtue, the historical, philosophical, and narrative foundations of his ethical framework are examined. MacIntyre characterizes modernity as a period of moral disorder, marked by ethical pluralism lacking a shared basis for consensus. He advocates for the revival of teleology and Aristotelian virtues to address these dilemmas, adapting (...)

Heidegger: The Pre-Presence and Being-Towards-Death.Francisco Vinicius Holanda de Oliveira & Francisco Gomes de Matos - 2025 - Cadernos Do Pet Filosofia 15 (30):13-28.
The aim of this article is to present the perspective of the German philosopher Martin Heidegger (1889–1976) on death, as well as to explore the concept of "Dasein" in his work Being and Time (1927). Heidegger introduces Dasein as a being that projects itself toward the future, with death being one of those futures. He asks: "What would death be? Does it have a merely biological or an ontological-existential character?" (HEIDEGGER, 2005, p. 16). The article unfolds as follows: a brief (...)

    Tecnologia e Dominação.Luiz Victor Teixeira de Sousa - 2025 - Cadernos Do Pet Filosofia 15 (30):135-145.
This article analyzes Herbert Marcuse's reflections on the advanced industrial society and its effects on the individual and culture, highlighting how technology and capitalism promote unidimensionality that limits human freedom and emancipation. In his work One-Dimensional Man, Marcuse argues that while technological development has the potential to liberate, it ultimately reinforces structures of domination, transforming high culture into mass consumer products. The concepts of sublimation and desublimation explored in the article show how society manipulates individuals' needs, creating false desires that (...)

  9. Elementos Construtivos da Sexualidade Feminina Na Relação Com o Pudor Do Corpo.Maria Geiciane Silva de Souza - 2025 - Cadernos Do Pet Filosofia 15 (30):200-207.
Female sexuality is a complex and multifaceted field, influenced by a variety of cultural, social and individual factors. Among the various elements that shape this dimension of women's lives, modesty in relation to the body plays a significant role. Shyness, often associated with social and moral norms, can profoundly affect the way women perceive and express their sexuality. This article seeks to explore the constructive elements of female sexuality and their interrelationship with body shame, offering a comprehensive and critical analysis (...)

The Deconstruction of Rousseau for an Emancipatory Education.Filipe de Morais Firmino - 2025 - Cadernos Do Pet Filosofia 15 (30):3-12.
This philosophical essay explores the deconstruction of Jean-Jacques Rousseau's educational ideas, seeking to adapt them for contemporary emancipatory education. Rousseau advocated for a naturalistic and individualized education, but his ideas require revision to address current challenges and promote emancipation. Through the deconstruction proposed by Derrida and the dialogical pedagogy of Paulo Freire, it is argued that emancipatory education must go beyond Rousseau's naturalism, incorporating social critique and active learner engagement in transforming social structures.

    Neoliberalismo.Paloma Machado - 2025 - Cadernos Do Pet Filosofia 15 (30):159-171.
The following text explores how neoliberalism is deeply rooted in problems related to bodies, showing that, instead of promoting the freedom it proclaims, its dynamics perpetuate rules that keep bodies in a state of abjection. In this context, contemporary thought in this area establishes a relevant dialogue with the philosophy of Michel Foucault and Wendy Brown. Therefore, this article analyzes the impact of right-wing discourse in the contemporary context, highlighting how it shapes taboos, censorship, and a "moral panic" associated with (...)

    A Ditadura Camuflada.Giovanna Marcuci - 2025 - Cadernos Do Pet Filosofia 15 (30):146-1.
O texto discute a construção dessa narrativa desnudando o elemento fundamental do movimento (...)

The Transition of Parrhesia from Its Political Dimension to the Ethical Constitution of the Care of the Self in Michel Foucault.Maria Clara dos Santos Primo - 2025 - Cadernos Do Pet Filosofia 15 (30):104-122.
This paper aims to explore the frameworks shaping the interplay between truth, power, and the subject-core themes in Michel Foucault's philosophy-while focusing on the perspectives outlined in his later lectures. Revisiting the concept of parrhesia, etymologically understood as the practice of “saying everything,” the article examines how this notion traverses the fields of aleturgy (the production of truth), governmentality (governing others), and subjectivity (self-governance). It also addresses the crisis of democracy, investigating its claims to be the ideal space for the (...)

Technique, vulnerability and ontology of life in Hans Jonas's ethics of responsibility.Maria da Paz Mendes dos Santos - 2025 - Cadernos Do Pet Filosofia 15 (30):77-89.
An analysis of Jonas' thought, focusing on three major themes: technique, vulnerability and ontology of life. Hans Jonas proposes a critique of traditional ethical approaches, which have proven incapable of dealing with the complex long-term effects of technological innovations. He suggests the "Responsibility Principle" as a new ethical paradigm, centered on considering the future consequences of human actions. In this sense, Jonas emphasizes the need for future-oriented ethics, which includes the preservation of life and the environment, ensuring that technological development (...)

The purpose of this article is to examine the problem of loneliness in Hannah Arendt in the light of her considerations about totalitarianism. We seek not only to clarify this concept, but to examine to what extent it is important for understanding certain aspects of Arendt's critique of philosophy in general and political philosophy in particular.
