Abstract

Translation quality assessment is one of the most intricate hindrances encountered by translation teachers during the training processowing to lack of objective and unified criteria that can help them provide systematic feedback on the students’ translations to enable them become aware of their errors and improve their performance. Therefore, we aim, through this article, to shed some light on the approaches and criteria adopted in translation quality assessment in order to see to what extent they can serve the evaluator and the evaluee.
