Abstract

Resumo: O ensaio Sobre verdade e mentira em sentido extramoral é um texto impressionante cético, que afasta Nietzsche não apenas da precedente “metafísica da arte” de O Nascimento da tragédia, mas também nega o próprio conceito de verdade. A influência de Friedrich Albert Lange e de sua História do materialismo é importante no percurso que levará, a partir das críticas da metafísica de Schopenhauer, às posições defendidas em Sobre verdade e mentira em sentido extramoral.: The essay On Truth and Lie in the Extramoral Sense is a striking skeptical text, which sets Nietzsche apart not only from his precedent “metaphysics of art” in The Birth of Tragedy, but also from the concept of truth itself.
