Abstract

Throughout humans’ historical experience, some concepts have been almost as important almost as the experience of life itself. Justice is certainly one such concept. In this article, I consider the identity of justice by departing from Aristotle’s and Hegel’s conceptions. Based on their understanding of justice, I aim to endorse that “it has an aspect of two arising from the mean ”. To that end, in the first section I discuss Aristotle’s understanding of justice. In the second section, I focus on Hegel’s conception of justice as I consider him complementary to Aristotle. Lastly, I point out the relevance of Aristotle’s and Hegel’s conceptions to the notion of justice endorsed in this paper
