I am in need of the experience of love, of receiving love. Therefore I would like to approach the time I have before you as a kind of experience in love, so that we can, for a while, talk about love: what it is; what restrains it; what may perhaps help to retrain it; and what its implications might be personally, in family, in community, in institutions, and in our nation.
