Abstract

For a series of carefully selected words like Art, Conscience, Duty, Education, Understanding, the author of this revised edition provides quotations not only from G. I. Gurdjieff's own works, but also from the writings of Ouspensky, Orage, C. S. Knott, and Kenneth Walker among others. Quotations from students of Gurdjieff are all the more important as his own writings are sometimes difficult to understand. Included are appendices setting out the author's interpretation of some of Gurdjieff's fundamental ideas, such as the trogoautoegocratic process.
