Art and Its History; Hegel and Art’s Historical Exceptionalism

Abstract

Taking the institutional diremption between the disciplines of art history and history, this paper seeks to read this as an aporia for thought through the philosophy of G.W.F. Hegel and Theodor W. Adorno.
