Abstract

En el segundo tratado del undécimo libro de su Metaphysica (1265-1267), san Alberto inicia el estudio de la primera sustancia y establece que es incorpórea e inmóvil, acto puro, sin ningún tipo de potencia, inmaterial, omnipresente, eterna, necesaria según todos los modos en virtud de su pureza. Dentro de este contexto, hallamos dos capítulos (7° y 8°) que debaten sobre el atributo de simplicidad. Nuestro estudio intenta mostrar las nervaduras intrínsecas de esos pasajes y destacar el alcance de las soluciones albertinas a los graves cuestionamientos contra la naturaleza simple de Dios. /// In the second treatise of the eleventh book of his Metaphysica (1265-1267), St. Albert begins his study of the first substance and establishes that it is incorporeal and immobile, pure act, without any type of potency, immaterial, omnipresent, eternal, and necessary from every aspect by virtue of its purity. Within this context, we find two chapters (the 7th and 8th) that discuss the attribute of simplicity. Our study attempts to show the essential structure of these passages and point out the scope of the Albertine solutions to grave questions raised against the simple nature of God
