Despite much valuable research in the field, the place names in Geoffrey of Monmouth and Wace still reserve surprises for the scholar. The two toponyms Estrusia and Siesia are of particular interest to Arthurian research. The problems they offer clearly show how far from definitive are the solutions presently available, in spite of the wealth of information contained in J. S. P. Tatlock's The Legendary History of Britain. { event.preventDefault(); })
